Jason Joseph is Partner and serves as Managing Director for Mayfair Street Partners, LLC where he leads new development in Georgia and expansions into South Carolina and Florida from the firm’s headquarters based in Alpharetta, Georgia. His career in commercial real estate spans a 20-year progression from an investment banker to an expert advisor in highly complex transactions, and direct investments exceeding $500 million in commercial real estate across all five major asset classes.
Embarking on his first entrepreneurial endeavor X1 Capital Partners, LLC (“X1”) in 2004, Joseph’s business took him worldwide including South Korea, Portugal, Hong Kong, Mexico and Western Europe. Notably, during the 2008 credit crisis, he developed a proprietary financing structure, approved by the FDIC and FASB, which enabled banks to sell classified assets at a higher profit and promoting business continuity.
After transitioning into principal investing, Joseph founded Hibernian Pacific Holdings, LLC (“Hibernian”) where he leveraged his knowledge and financing structure to identify investment opportunities in FDIC-insured distressed bank-owned assets. Hibernian eventually transitioned from local investments into an institutional platform expanding across the Southeastern and Midwestern US, then globally into Western Europe.
In January 2016, Joseph launched Mayfair Street Partners, LLC with partners Simon Burgess and A.J. Belt. Together, they focus on meaningful development projects throughout the Southeastern United States, all of which were built with the intent of making a lasting, positive impact on the communities where they are located. Joseph has a passion for adaptive re-use development projects, most notable are the historic 1928 Pepper Building which was converted to the full service Hotel Indigo in downtown Winston-Salem, NC; the abandoned office building conversion to Class A medical office in Columbia, SC; and his latest mixed-use development The Hamilton, a Curio by Hilton hotel in downtown Alpharetta, GA. Each project was carefully designed to preserve and/or highlight their historical features and local significance.
Joseph’s mission is to build a legacy of quality commercial real estate assets, built with high integrity and on a foundation of faith and family. He supports his hometown community of Alpharetta through his work in promoting the city’s thriving economy with meaningful new development and adaptive reuse of existing buildings. He is also a proud community coach for Kings Ridge Christian School’s football and lacrosse teams.
Joseph serves on the Board of Directors for BigStuf, Inc.; the Community Board of Advisors, Forsyth County, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta; the Board of Advisors, Phase Family Centers; the Community Board for Young Life Ministries; and is a Financial Advisory Board Member for Influencers Church USA.
He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (BS in Economics with a concentration in Finance) and is married to Carrie Joseph. They reside in Milton, Georgia with their 3 children Julian, Ethan and Benjamin.
